The Controller General’s Office under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry has published the updated Roll of Scientific Advisers in accordance with Section 115 of the Patents Act, 1970 and Rule 103 of the Patents Rules, 2003.

The roll includes qualified professionals with expertise in:

• Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology & Food Technology
• Chemistry & Allied Sciences
• Mechanical & Allied Subjects
• Electrical, Electronics & Related Subjects

These advisers possess Ph.D., M.Tech., M.Pharm., or equivalent qualifications and 15–40+ years of experience across teaching, research, industrial R&D, or government advisory roles.

This roll assists the Patent Office in obtaining technical opinions in complex patent-related matters.
